Nebraska Innovation Campus awarded Green Business of the Year

The Lincoln Chamber of Commerce Celebrate Business awards were held on September 15, 2015. At the annual celebration of business achievement in Lincoln, Nebraska, Nebraska Innovation Campus was awarded the Green Business of the Year. An example of the campus’ sustainable design is the Centralized Renewable Energy System, which warms and cools buildings by exchanging heat from the City of Lincoln’s Theresa Street Treatment Facility next to the research park. Tetrad Property Group worked with Olsson Associates to design the system. In addition, TPG is proud to play a part in implementing the zero-waste policy as part of our asset management work on campus.

The Green Business of the Year Award is designed to honor a business that meets high environmental standards and has gone beyond local state and federal environmental regulations to create an environmentally friendly business. The award recognizes outstanding achievement in pollution prevention, waste reduction and recycling activities. This award is given to businesses who adopt principles and practices that improve the quality of life for their customers, employees, communities and the environment.
