Concordia University – Dunklau Center for Math, Science & Business

86,000 SF  •  Seward, Nebraska

Construction began on the Dunklau Center for Science, Math and Business in the spring of 2018. In appreciation for the lead gift by The Rupert Dunklau Foundation, the facility is named after the Rupert Dunklau family of Fremont, Nebraska. This new state of the art academic facility opened in two phases: the science wing in August 2019, and the business, math and computer science wing in December 2019.

The Dunklau Center features 58,000 square feet of new construction and 28,000 square feet of renovated space. This $25 million project is entirely funded by supporters of the University and sits just east of the Music Building. It houses programs in science (biology, chemistry, physics & environmental science), math, business, computer science and agricultural science. Designed to create interactions amongst students and faculty, the Dunklau Center classrooms, lecture halls, lab and research space.
